Old School Storyline

Mitch, Frank and Beanie are disillusioned with their personal lives begining when Mitch's nymphomanic girlfriend, Heidi, cheats on him, then former party animal Frank gets married, but unwilling to get go of his wild life, and Beanie is a family man seeking to reclaim his wild and crazy youth. Beanie suggests that they form their own fraternity in Mitch's new house on a college campus to re-live their glory days by bringing together a variety of misfit college students, losers, middle-aged and elderly retirees as their new friends and later try to avoid being evicted by the new Dean of Students, Pritchard, whom still holds a personal grudge against all three of them.

The last scene shot was Mitch-A-Palooza.
It's somewhat ironic that 'Jeremy Piven' (qv) plays a malicious dean. In 1994, he played the head of a similarly outrageous fraternity in _PCU (1994)_ (qv).
Some of 'Luke Wilson (I)' (qv)'s scenes (like when he arrives home) were done in one take. The crew nicknamed him "One take Wilson".

Old School goofs

GEOG: Set in New York State, but in the end credit scene, Frank is shopping at a Jon's supermarket, a California chain.
CONT: When Megan Huang is playing the tape of Dean Pritchard to Mitch and Frank, the fraternity evaluation committee suddenly appears standing behind them towards the end when Dean Pritchard steals the tape.
CREW: When Frank is streaking next to his wife's car, you can see the lights and camera attached to the car in the store windows.
CONT: Mitch-a-palooza is held on a Thursday as stated on flyers. When the college kids gode Frank to have a drink he says he can't because he has plans with his wife tomorrow saying, "We have a nice little Saturday planned." What happened to Friday?
CREW: When Frank is driving and leaving his messages for his wife, a reflection of the camera and lighting attached to the car can be seen in the windows of the offices in the background.
