How to Lose Friends & Alienate People Storyline

Sidney Young is a disillusioned intellectual who both adores and despises the world of celebrity, fame and glamour. His alternative magazine, Post Modern Review, pokes fun at the media obsessed stars and bucks trends, and so when Young is offered a job at the diametrically opposed conservative New York based Sharps magazine its something of a shock! It seems Sharps editor Clayton Harding is amused by Young's disruption of a post-BAFTA party with a pig posing as Babe. Thus begins Sidney's descent into success - his gradual move from derided outsider to confidante of starlet Sophie Maes - and a love affair with colleague Alison Olsen, that will either make him or break him.

CREW: When Sidney is looking at Lawrence from inside an office, the camera and lighting kit is clearly visible in the reflection of the glass while trying to create Sidney's point of view.
SYNC: When the group is leaving the first party, Eleanor Johnson talks to Sophie Maes before getting into the car. The shot then turns back to Sophie with her saying "Yea" when clearly her lips were not even moving.
CHAR: In the competitor magazine's article on Sophie Maes that Sidney reads, the word "epitome" is spelled "epitomy."
CREW: During a scene in which Sidney and Alison are walking along a street in New York together, in one of the shots a shadow of the camera equipment and operator is clearly visible.
CONT: Alison vomits in Sidney's lap while in the car on the way to Sidney's apartment yet when they arrive his pants are perfectly clean.
